RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

Student responsibilities:

·      Attendance is essential for the success of this program.  Our band is a team organization and can only rehearse and perform when all members are present.  Students are required to attend all scheduled rehearsals, camps, and football games. Failure to do so can result in suspension from the band.  Absences can only be excused by the Band Director prior to the rehearsal or event. Of course, illness, family emergencies, and uncontrollable situations are excused.

·      Performances: If a member cannot attend a performance, the Band Director must be notified in writing from the parents at least (2) two weeks prior to the event. 

·      Students must remain in full uniform at all events.

·      Students will have the 3rd quarter of every football game off.

·      Students must sit as a group at all football games.

·      Students must travel in groups of three of more when at any away event.

·      All instruments and equipment should be cleaned and polished before any event.

·      Students will be responsible to pay the cost of any repairs or replacement of school property and uniforms damaged by misuse or are lost.

·      Smoking, the use of profanity, the use of alcohol or any other illegal substance will not be permitted at any time. Infractions will result in the immediate suspension from the band and also reviewed by BHS.

·      Any negative remarks concerning the Marching Band posted on any social media platform will not be tolerated.  The member will be held accountable and be subject to disciplinary actions under the Band Directors discretion.
